Arlington Cancer Center uses a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating the expertise of some of the nation’s leading physicians, nurses, technologists and therapists in a personalized atmosphere. Medical oncology and hematology physicians manage the care of patients with solid tumors and blood disorders through diagnosis, treatment and follow-up phases. Each new patient’s prognosis and treatment plan is reviewed during weekly clinical conferences.

Patients come to Arlington Cancer Center with different needs. Some are being diagnosed for the first time; others referred by physicians, or are private patients of Arlington Cancer Center physicians. Many patients come seeking a second opinion or treatment through participation in a clinical research trial.Once they have completed their treatment, patients also return to the Center for monitoring and follow-up care.

Arlington Cancer Center is organized to benefit the patient with a speedy diagnosis and a progressive treatment regimen for attacking cancer, taking advantage of the most advanced diagnostic tools and treatment techniques available today.

There are several unique areas of Arlington Cancer Center which function together to provide comprehensive out-patient treatment for adult cancer patients. Rather than requiring patients to travel to remote locations for each part of their treatment, Arlington Cancer Center houses these areas on one convenient medical campus keeping travel and hassle to a minimum.

PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY

Arlington Cancer Center
routinely follows a policy of strict patient confidentiality. However, if there is a need for an unusually high level of confidentiality that would result in your requesting public anonymity within the Center (not using your name in any public areas), that option is available.

Please be aware that adhering to that policy could possibly result in a slightly less personal approach and may present occasional problems in communication due to the necessity of using a number code or "pen name" in place of your own. A New Patient Coordinator can provide you with the proper form if public anonymity is your choice.
